Priyanka Mukherjee

National Volunteer Week: "Meet our second volunteer, Priyanka Mukherjee. Priyanka has over a decade of experience working as a project development, documentation and communication specialist in India, Bangladesh and Nepal. A postgraduate in Social Work from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences and a recipient of the Nehru Fullbright Scholarship, Priyanka has more than 13 years of experience working with national and international organisations, government bodies and non-profit organisations across India, Bangladesh and Nepal.
She has astute knowledge in policy planning and formulation, having worked with the highest offices of the Government of India. She has also travelled extensively across the sub-continent and worked with numerous grassroots organisation training them on communication and documentation skills. Her areas of work include gender and maternal health rights, sexual and reproductive health rights, rights of children and working with people affected by disasters. Priyanka has been part of several disaster restoration works including the 2006 tsunami, the 2007 Bombay Floods and the 2009 cylcone Aila that ravaged the sub-continent. She has authored many human impact stories, written and designed numerous program brochures, annual reports and contributed to several social media campaigns for National and International audiences.
In her free time, she loves reading, singing, cooking and playing with her two wonderful boys, aged 7 and 3.
