International Programs

International Service exemplifies our global reach in promoting peace and understanding.
We support this area of focus mainly by sponsoring international projects.
This is funded in our club by our Foreign Coin Repatriation Program.

Nkosi's Haven

Nkosi Haven is a NGO in Johannesburg, South Africa area that offers residual, holistic care and support for mothers and their children whose lives have been impacted by HIV/ AIDS.
The Rotary Club of Hornsby District was introduced to Nkosi Haven by a son of one of our members.

Mitrataa Foundation

The Rotary Club of Hornsby District is proud to support the Mitrataa Foundation that aims to care for women and children in Nepal. A connection made with the founder through one of our Rotary members, Robert Caldwell, which sparked a pledge by the club to donate $1,000 a year to the organisation.

Team VISTA

Team Vista is an Australian NGO that works closely with Child Welfare and Police Women's and Children's officers in issues of child protection within the Kalolen/ Pasu wards in Tanzania.
It was created by the late Kerry William Frost who is related to a former member of the Rotary Club of Waitara.

Know One Teach One

KOTO is a not-for-profit social enterprise transforming the lives of at-risk and disadvantaged youth in Vietnam through its holistic hospitality training programme.

Shamida Bright Vision

Shamida Ethopia was established to give hope to the lives of vulnerable women and children through care, support and development programs and to give them relevance in life projects.

Shelter Box

The Rotary Club of Hornsby District (RCoHD)supports the ShelterBox as part of their International projects. This project was advocated by a past Rotary member, Greg Timewell.

ShelterBox provides emergency shelter to families who have lost their home to disaster. To learn more about the wonderful work they do, please read here The RCoHD Club has donated many Shelter Homes to Shelter Box Australia, over many years.

Shelter Box started in 2000 in the UK. In more recent years Shelter box Australia developed.

Rotary Club of Port Klang

The Rotary Club of Port Klang, Malaysia, is a sister club of the Rotary Club of Hornsby District since 2009.
The RCoHD has donated food provisions to the DaySpring Centre for Person with Learning Difficulties in Malaysia. It has also provided face shields to 19 schools and provided an income stream for single mothers.
